And don't buy a 1440p phone just because you "want" to have a 1440p display, that's because unless you're a literal hawk, you don't need over 3 million pixels in a smartphone form factor, you might want it, but ignore the specs and marketing and just focus on real-life usage

Or maybe get the S20 FE if you want to save even more cash, because you will get a very similar experience and a very similar phone in general for even less money, Don't care about the extra performance you get with the S21, the SD865 or Exynos 990 will still be substantially more powerful than what you have now, and you won't notice much improvement between a SD888 vs SD865 or an Exynos 2100 vs 990 in real-world usage, and the S20 FE has nearly the exact same camera setup, Yes the S21 has a fancy new telephoto, but if you're coming from an S6, you'll be used to that single-camera life already, plus the 3x optical zoom of the S20 FE will still take adequate zoom photos if you really need it, and the fingerprint sensor of the S21, while it might be better, the S20 FE's sensor still has enough speed to unlock the phone without much frustration.

@Abhishek Savant It doesn't matter, because it's cheaper than last year, and it's "only" fallen off a cliff compared to predecessors if you look at the specs and don't use it in real-life, because in real-life you wouldn't notice the downgrades anyway, and if those downgrades just to get the price down vs last year are too much for you, then fine, just go and spend all of your hard-earned $1200 on an S21 Ultra, and plus, S9 is still on Android 10, and won't get upgraded to Android 11, I think that this is much more important than a glass back or a 1440p display that your average Joe wouldn't care about, So, theme of the story: Specs don't matter as much as real-life use, if something looks bad on a spec sheet, then you might/might not like it in real-life use.

@sami houmaira S series flagship isn't meant to be a compromise of quality & premiumness for practicality. While practicality is good, this phone though feels like it's fallen of a cliff in some departments compared to its predecessors.
