I noticed in Alex's original trailer the backgrounds were relatively flat and cartoony but the characters were shaded and 3D-looking, but in the finished trailer the reverse was true, same as in the Avatar and Korra anime. I'm not sure which is more immersive- to have a realistic-looking world in which the characters don't need the detail or the other way around.
